I just sent a previous email with our swim team Long Distance Challenge (LDC) fundraiser. However, there is another YMCA fundraiser happening right now, YMCA Giving Days. I think the pair of them are important and will benefit the YMCA mission; so of course, if you are able to, feel free to donate to both. If you can only make one donation, or are wondering which should be your priority, then as members of the NEYS swim team it is my hope that you prioritize the YMCA Long Distance Challenge (LDC) fundraiser that we hold. Either way, please consider the thoughts below:

Dear Swim Team Families,

As part of our YMCA swim team, you already know the power of teamwork, perseverance, and community spirit. Together, we’ve celebrated countless personal bests — in the pool and beyond. Now, we have another opportunity to make a meaningful impact beyond the lanes!

YMCA Giving Days are here — a time when our Y community comes together to support programs that make a difference for children, families, and neighbors in need. Every dollar raised helps ensure that everyone has access to swim lessons, youth sports, summer camp, and other life-changing programs, regardless of their financial circumstances.

This year, our Swim Team is diving in to help!
We’re asking all team members, families, and friends to join us in supporting Giving Days. Whether you can give $5, $20, $50, or help spread the word, your contribution makes waves that ripple throughout our entire community.
