Long Distance Challenge Fundraiser

Date: Sunday, 11/26

Thanksgiving is a great time to generate interest and get sponsors for your swimmer's Long Distance Challenge fundraiser. Attached are the assigned groups which dictate the length each swimmer is required to complete. Definitely take a look and know which time your swimmer should arrive.

Parents, please feel free to stay on deck to help count. 🙂

Also, please bring the fundraised amount as cash or check(s) made out to the “Nazareth YMCA”. It’s highly preferable to hand it in on the day of, but you can still give it to me later too. 

Anticipated Purchases for 2023-2024 from Fundraising 

• New Lap Counters - were never purchased last year.
• Championship banner from 2022-2023 season.
• Renew our annual HyTek Meet Management & Swimtopia software licenses.
• Additional training fins for swimmers with smaller feet. :)
• Items we get as needed (award labels, ribbons, brag tags, paper, ink, stop watches, training reimbursements for coaches & volunteers, etc.).
• New pool fan. One just died on us last week.
• Nationals Support Program
• Savings for large purchases & ability to better advocate for swim team needs with YMCA admin. 

Saturday Practice, 11/25 - New this season, in lieu of missing two practice days during the week. NO SPACE to complete the LDC early. LDC must be completed on Sunday, 11/26. If you cannot make Sunday, there will be back-up date later in the season.

• Silver: 9:30 - 10:15 am
• Red: 10:15 - 11:00 am
• White: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
• Blue: 12:00 - 1:00 pm
• Gold: 1:00 - 2:30 pm
