Hello Blue Fins Families,

At the start of our prior season Coach Drake sent out an email about the various officials that we need in order for us to run and participate in swim meets.

We are very much in need of the following officials position (in this order) in order to be able to have a successful 2022-23 swim season.

• Level 1 Officials (Stroke/Turn)
• Level 2 Officials (Starter/Referee)
• Meet Manager computer operators
• Administrative Officials 

Please consider getting training for one of the above positions, especially if you have a younger swimmer who you know plans on returning for many seasons.

A list of classes can be found on our league website, https://www.teamunify.com/team/penndelymca/page/h... and then clicking on the "events" link.  There are currently classes posted for the official positions listed above with the level 1 classes coming up first (early September).  Almost all of the classes are being held over Zoom with only a couple that are in person.

I would be happy to connect with you to discuss the various roles or any questions that you might have. I can also connect you with current officials who can provide some clarity on the role and what it requires.

One final thing to note is that the team will cover the costs associated with becoming an official and for recertification by reimbursing you after you have completed the certification.
