Hello Blue Fins,

We are still in need of volunteers for some key positions.  These roles are essential for the success of our season and we would greatly appreciate anyone who is willing to volunteer.

• Volunteer Coordinator - EXEMPT - This individual will be responsible for coordinating volunteers for the swim meets throughout the season. They will track volunteer status and communicate throughout the season to ensure that parents know if they have fulfilled their work bond requirement.
• Social Coordinator - EXEMPT - This individual will help to organize and plan for team socials (Team Spirit dinner, Christmas party, End of season party, etc.)
• Hospitality Coordinator - EXEMPT - This individual will coordinate the food and drink items that we sell during our home dual meets. They will send out requests for donations and organize the actual snack table during the meet. They will also solicit volunteers to work the snack table.
• Award Committee/Bead Coordinators - EXEMPT - (2 roles) - These individuals will coordinate the awarding of the beads and getting them distributed to the swimmers who earn them. This is a bigger role than it may seem as it requires tracking swimmer events and times to determine which swimmers should be awarded beads. They will also support in getting ribbons distributed as they are earned. We are still in need of one more parent to support this.

We are also still in need of officials in order for us to fulfill our meet requirements.  If you are a certified official and you haven't connected with me yet we could really use you this season.

Thank you to all of the family members who have signed up to volunteer at our upcoming dual meets.  I do see that the position of marshaller and place judge are being avoided and I just want to make sure that everyone understands what those roles do at a meet.

• Marshal - This role does not require certification. The marshal helps organize the 10/under swimmers and ensures that they get lined up behind the correct block, for the correct event, at the correct time.
• Place Judge - This role does not require certification. The place judge writes down which swimmers (lanes) finish in which order. The person who performs this job has the absolute best view of the lanes so it is a great role to watch all the swimmers from the pool deck.
