    NEYS Dryland Schedule, 2021

    Dryland Training:

    • BLUE GROUP, ages 12/Over (age as of Dec. 1, 2021) ONLY may attend.
    • Starts on 10/26 (Tuesdays/Thursdays)
    • 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
    • Dance Studio, top of the stairs, above the gym. 

    I know some kids may be disappointed, but we need to limit the number of swimmers in dryland for several reasons:

    1. Limited space available.
    2. Limited time available to cycle through exercises to be effective.
    3. Only one coach is available to monitor the group, so teaching younger or less experienced swimmers is currently not realistic.

    However, ALL swimmers should definitely do some combination of flutter kicks, crunches, sit-ups, push-ups, wall presses, etc., on their own each day for 10-15 minutes (at least three times each week minimum). Plus, don't forget about stretching. :)

    There's lots of YouTube strength and flexibility training videos for kids. So, just look a few up and follow along to improve your swimming.
